How I Reset My Brain For Success (TOP 1% know this)
If you are in your young age, these are the most important years of your life. This is the time when you shape your character, build your habits, and decide the direction your life will take. However, at this stage of life, there are only two options: First, you can have fun now, enjoy life, go to parties, and spend all day playing video games, but after 25-30, face the harsh reality of a 9-to-5 grind for the rest of your life. The harsh truth is that 90% of people choose this option. But if you know deep down that by doing all this you are wasting your real talent, potential, and time, then you are already choosing the second option and are ahead of those 90% of people. I am going to tell you about just 7 simple steps that I followed to completely transform myself, and by following them, you can leave behind all the things that hold you back and achieve something great in life.
1. Know Yourself
Most people today are living aimless lives, hoping that someday, their circumstances will magically change. Even worse, they don’t realize that if they don’t choose their purpose, someone else will choose it for them. In this modern era, many people live like robots, blindly following the system’s guidance and getting trapped in the rat race. They end up feeling like they are victims of bad luck. The very system they follow is designed not to unlock their full potential but to drain their energy, making them feel foolish and weak. If you want to break free from this rat race and transform your life to reach your full potential, it’s essential to know yourself. Take a moment to focus on yourself and think deeply without distractions. Are you truly satisfied with your life? Are you genuinely happy? Do you feel proud of yourself? Consider the path you are currently on—where is it leading you, and where do you want to go in life? What kind of person do you want to become? Think deeply about what you need to do to reach that goal.
Start by writing down your important thoughts in a notebook or diary. This practice will help you create a clear image of your goals in your mind. Then, you can start working on creating a proper plan because a plan without a goal is just a wish.
Every day, set aside some time to step away from the distractions of this world and engage in deep thinking. Spend an hour or half an hour alone with your thoughts. This habit will put you ahead of 90% of people, as most are so entangled in social media and celebrities that their minds are completely fried. These distractions gradually weaken them, pulling them further away from their full potential.
2. Learn to Make the Right Decisions
Making quick and accurate decisions is crucial in life. However, it’s often challenging, especially when decisions have both positive and negative aspects. Highly successful people use specific strategies to make their decisions swiftly and correctly. One such method is the ‘Weight Average Decision Matrix’ – To make the right decisions, you need to prioritize your core values strongly. But what are core values? Core values are the things you consider most important in your life. To make the right decision, think about your core values and write down how each choice will impact your life. For each decision, identify at least five values it will affect. These can be both positive and negative. For example, if someone is deciding between starting their own business or continuing their job, they should first prioritize the positive and negative values of each option.
Starting a business might align with values like freedom, independence, control over your schedule, and unlimited financial success, but it also comes with insecurity and instability. On the other hand, a job offers security, stability, and predictable finances but has drawbacks like a fixed 9-to-5 schedule and limited financial growth. The right decision for you is the one that aligns best with your core values. This method helps in making the right decisions, but to make decisions quickly, you need to practice. The more you practice, the faster you’ll become at making decisions.
3. Cut Out All the Bad Habit Friends
In today’s world, most friends aren’t true friends. Many of them are associated with bad habits, like smokers who hang out with other smokers. If they weren’t smokers, they probably wouldn’t be friends. These are the friends who keep you involved in bad habits. If you stay with them, you’ll likely end up indulging in those bad habits too. If you manage to leave these friends, you’ll be able to leave most of those bad habits behind because a smoker often smokes for the sake of friendship.
I understand it’s difficult to leave such friends quickly, but if you want to change yourself and achieve something significant, you have to let them go. There’s nothing wrong with that. Ask yourself: Can you stay happy with these friends for 30 days without any addiction or distraction? If the answer is no, then maybe you are friends with them only because of those bad habits. These friends will weaken you at every turn in life, so remove them from your life and commit to achieving something great.
4. Improve Your Sleep to Improve Your Life
You are more capable than you think, but one thing that consistently weakens your capabilities is your irregular sleep schedule. If you can fix this, you are guaranteed to become more productive, more focused, and more capable. However, in today’s modern age, irregular sleep has become common, with most people scrolling endlessly on social media until 1, 2, or even 3 in the morning.
This habit is contributing to lower testosterone levels and even premature death in today’s generation. Recent sleep studies have shown that people who sleep less than 5 hours have a 52% higher mortality rate. In contrast, those who sleep 7 to 9 hours do not have an increased mortality rate. This means that those who sleep less are at a higher risk of dying early. Therefore, try to sleep and wake up at the same time every day. For example, if you’re an early bird, go to bed at 9 PM and wake up at 5 AM. If you’re a night owl, go to bed between 12 and 1 AM and wake up between 8 and 9 AM. It’s not necessary to wake up at 5 AM; just create a sleep schedule that aligns with when you feel most productive. Modern distractions not only disrupt our sleep schedules but also affect the quality of our sleep. To improve your sleep quality, follow the 10-3-1 rule:
• 10 hours before bed: No caffeine (tea, coffee, etc.).
• 3 hours before bed: No heavy meals or dinner.
• 1 hour before bed: Avoid all blue light-emitting devices like TV, computers, and phones.
By following this rule, you can enhance your sleep, leading to better productivity, focus, and overall capability.
5. Increase Your Exposure to Sunlight
Sunlight is one of the most powerful natural gifts we have. Our brains function best when we spend time outdoors with sunlight shining on our faces. However, the modern world is designed to keep us indoors, which is not ideal for our body. Staying inside constantly can make us gradually weaker. No matter how busy you are, make an effort to spend some time outside every day, especially in the morning or evening. Engage with people and enjoy the fresh air. This habit can boost your productivity by up to 200%.
6. Create Your Own Strategy
Every military operation, political campaign, or large corporation relies on a strategy to increase their chances of success. Imagine being sent into battle without a strategy—you’d likely be defeated quickly. The same goes for your life. Are you living aimlessly, hoping that in five years, you’ll be in a good place?
I apologize if this sounds harsh, but things don’t magically improve on their own. Life is the greatest gift we’ve been given, and not living it to its full potential, not stepping out of our comfort zone, is a waste.
So, friends, grab a pen and paper and start writing down what you want in life and how you can achieve it. Develop a strategy based on the information you have, and use this information to find the right path. Begin your day with a to-do list to keep your mind alert and focused on the tasks you need to accomplish.
7. Believe in Yourself
Believe in yourself because you’ve already done enough thinking. It’s time to close the door on overthinking. Take a deep breath and start doing what needs to be done. Trust yourself and listen to your inner voice. If you keep thinking endlessly, you’ll never get anything done. Taking the first step is essential. Every successful person first believed in themselves, and now the world believes in them. So, you should believe in yourself too. This belief will make you self-reliant and highly confident, significantly boosting your productivity and happiness. If you feel defeated, exhausted, or weakened by struggles, follow these seven steps and transform your life completely.
